concurs “Python and Cybersecurity Battle”.

Universitatea Transilvania din Brașov, prin Facultatea de Matematică și Informatică, împreună cu Caucasus University și Scientific Cyber Security Association din Georgia organizează un concurs online pe teme din aria din interes a limbajului Python și legate de securitatea cibernetică (cybersecurity). Acest concurs este desemnat drept “Python and Cybersecurity Battle”. Sunt bineveniți concurenți din orice țară, iar participarea lor este facilitată de organizarea în format online a acestei competiții.

Cele două secțiuni, Python Battle și Cyber Battle, le oferă elevilor de liceu și studenților o semnificativă oportunitate de a-și demonstra abilitățile practice în domeniul de interes al concursului, limbajul Python și securitate cibernetică (cybersecurity). Participanții se vor organiza în echipe alcătuite din doi sau trei membri și își vor înregistra intenția de participare și ideile folosind următoarele formulare Google: Python Battle - https://forms.gle/NH8YyXv9hRuGCXgN7; Cyber Battle - https://forms.gle/1MeZt14hwW71T35UA .

Participanții eligibili vor face parte din următoarele două categorii.

  1. Elevi de liceu din grupa de vârstă 14-19 ani.
  2. Studenți care frecventează programele de studiu la nivelul licență sau masterat.

 

Fiecare echipă va susține o prezentare de 10-15 minute a propriului proiect înregistrat în concurs.

Data concursului: 10 decembrie 2022

Fiecare idee participantă va fi evaluată considerând următoarele criterii.

  • Noutatea, importanța și relevanța practică a ideii prezentate
  • Calitatea de ansamblu a proiectului, care privește relevanța ideii propuse, proiectarea soluției sistemului software, precum și calitatea implementării acestuia.
  • Relevanța și calitatea de ansamblu a prezentării care ia în calcul prezentarea detaliată a ideii, justificarea alegerii temei relativ la importanța sa concretă în lumea reală, prezentarea clară și concisă a arhitecturii sistemului, precum și prezentarea prototipului implementat.

Participanții vor primi certificate de premiere care vor recunoaște primele trei locuri ale clasamentului final.

Transilvania University of Brasov, through its Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, together with Caucasus University and Scientific Cyber Security Association from Georgia, organizes an online Python and Cybersecurity contest, which is titled “Python and Cybersecurity Battle”. The contest welcomes students from any country, and their participation is facilitated by the online nature of the competition.

The Python Battle and Cyber Battle competitions provide a significant opportunity for high school and undergraduate students to demonstrate their practical skills in Python and Cyber Security. The participants should create teams of 2-3 students, which are required to submit their ideas, products, solutions, or software systems that are implemented in Python and/or address        real-world Cybersecurity problems using the following Google Forms: Python Battle - https://forms.gle/NH8YyXv9hRuGCXgN7; Cyber Battle - https://forms.gle/1MeZt14hwW71T35UA

The eligible participants should belong to the following two categories.

  1. High school students, which belong to the age group 14-19 years. They have to organize themselves in groups of 2-3 students, and submit their projects during the contest.
  2. University students (Bachelor or Master study programmes). They have to organize themselves in groups of 2-3 students, and submit their projects during the contest.

Each Group is required to conduct 10-15 minutes presentations about their projects, which are registered in both categories, Python battle and Cyber Battle.

The competition takes place on the 10th of December 2022.

The submissions will be evaluated considering the following criteria.

  • Novelty, timeliness and, eventually, increasing momentum of the proposed idea.
  • Real-world relevance, which assesses the scale and importance of the problem or real-world use case that will be addressed.
  • Overall quality of the project, which concerns the relevance of the idea, the design of the software solution, and the quality of the implementation.
  • Relevance and overall quality of the presentation, which takes into account the detailed presentation of the idea, the justification of the choice relative to its real-world relevance, the clear and concise presentation of the system architecture, and its implemented prototype.

Participants will receive award certificates for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
