| About Brasov and how to reach it:
Brasov is situated in central Romania, in the historical region of Transylvania and is surrounded from three sides by the Carpathian Mountains. Thanks to its well preserved medieval city center and its natural surroundings, it is one of the top touristic attractions of Romania. - Brasov has a newly opened airport. Yet, airline schedules are for the moment subject to multiple changes (more up-to-date information will be posted in spring-summer 2024). - For the moment, the most convenient option is to fly to Bucharest Henri Coanda airport (OTP). There are many door-to-door shuttle services from Bucharest airport to Brasov; one trip takes around 2h30’, the price varies between 20 and 30 Euros/person, here are just three of them: https://www.transferairport.ro/en/ https://direct-aeroport.ro/index-en.html - Another option is Sibiu Airport (SBZ). Shuttle transport is also available, a trip takes around 2 hours. Travel tip: If you plan to stay for some extra days in Brasov, it is advisable to avoid the car/shuttle trip Bucharest -> Brasov on Friday afternoon or evening, as well as the trip Brasov -> Bucharest on Sunday, as the road traffic can be extremely intense on those days.
